She's healing in the hospital, and they take a big step in their relationship. Once he's in, he's all in. There are still dark forces at play here though, lurking in the shadows. And I wish she was confident enough to accept that he wants her. I'm enjoying the journey these two go on, and loving this story. I can't wait for the next!
I loved Evelyn's point of view in The Darker Touch of Cane. She starts to come out of her shell and the steam factor is through the roof. It felt like a sauna! Evelyn and Jonah come back home from Greece with things very different but old insecurities threaten their relationship. I loved the drama and the ending was just fantastic can't wait to jump into book 4!
I have absolutely fallen in love with Jonah and Evie, their story continues to get more intense. From the start it will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens, it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster from laughing one minute to wanting to yell at Evie the next. The passion between Jonah and Evie definitely ramps up in this one, and so does the danger. The ending has me anxiously awaiting the next in the series I cannot wait to find out what happens. I definitely recommend reading you won't be disappointed

Every book in this series puts me on the edge of my seat, makes my heart race, and I love it. I can never decide if I like Jonah's character or not, often going back and forth throughout each book, but what a character he is. Poor, innocent Evie is totally at his mercy, even when she thinks she's being rebellious. Lacey Alpha has perfected the slow build. You know something's coming and page after page builds the anticipation, and once again, I'm on the last page with a gasp and an "Oh, no, she did not just do that!" All I can say is, write fast, Lacey, because I have to know what happens next!

The Darker Touch of Cane by Lacey Alpha is another HOT in the series of books! I couldn’t put it down again this book series is killing me. I can’t seem to get enough of Evelyn and the HOT MI6 agent Jonah Cane continues to seam up my pages! This book made me laugh, cry and fall for I can be anything you want and all you need so “Will you Marry Me!” Where will things go this time now that the world knows Evelyn and Jonah are together, or at least the bad guys.
This is one of those few times yet again that I am dyeing to give this book more than 5 stares. It doesn’t happen often for me but in this case, it would get a 6! The book is incredible well written and because of that I couldn’t put it down. The Content is HOT and there is some under tones of BDSM and some violence that can trigger. That being said it is a Must Read and it is making its way on to my All-time Favorites shelf!

I’ve been following Evie and Jonah for the last few months, reading it up as fast as I can. This is the third installment of the Evie POV and while I love the characters, I wasn’t as fond of this story as I have been of the others. I am a very vanilla reader, so the BDSM stuff that comes into play (stronger than ever in this book) really turn me off. There is lots of dominance/submissive actions along with SM activities that are a total turn off for me, personally.
I think Lacey is an excellent writer, but the relationship depth was just too much for me. The plot is excellent and I like where things are going with the storyline; therefore I will continue to read the series, I just might flash through the scenes that are a little too much for me.
Love all the Cane Books; anxiously awaiting more or even another trilogy! 😊
